Lucy Galvin was voted in as leader at a full council meeting on Tuesday weeks after the Greens gained five wards to claim a total of 21 of the council's 39 seats, and end Labour's long reign.

Elected as the leader of the party in January, Ms Galvin said the party had a clear mandate from residents.
