Norfolk businessman who once found daytime TV fame set to be county council's new CEO
Dennis Bacon has been selected by the council to lead the authority under the recently elected Reform administration, following a recruitment process branded "rushed" by opposition leaders.
Dennis Bacon, who has a background in adult social care and is also the entrepreneur behind Norwich B&B 38 St Giles has been chosen as the man to take the reins at County Hall under the Reform-led authority.

The post, which will earn him £215,000 a year, still requires the normal pre-employment checks and sign-off from full council, which is due to meet at County Hall on Friday, August 14.
Mr Bacon’s appointment comes after Tom McCabe suddenly quit the post less than two months after Reform swept to power at County Hall in May.
