Award-winning theatre makes performing arts accessible to all

At the heart of the performing arts is people, whether it be those on stage, behind the scenes or in the audience.

More than 500,000 people a year visit Norwich Theatre’s three venues - the Theatre Royal, Playhouse and Stage Two - and its drive is to make theatre more accessible for everyone with its year-round programme of live performances and creative engagement activities across all artforms.

Norwich Theatre’s dedication in this area was recognised with the Positive Impact in the Community award, sponsored by RWE, at the EDP Business Awards 2024.

“The award recognises the hard work the whole Norwich Theatre team has put into ensuring everyone in the community can enjoy getting creative and reaping the rewards that doing so has to offer,” chief executive and creative director Stephen Crocker said.
