Keira Borrett was stopped with cases full of herbal cannabis after attempting to pass through customs at Terminal 4.

The 46-year-old was arrested on May 23 after arriving back in the UK from Thailand.

It was the latest in a string of arrests in recent weeks of people caught trying to smuggle the drug into the UK from Thailand, where cannabis is legal.

The National Crime Agency confirmed Borrett had been arrested on arrival at Heathrow from Bangkok, after travelling via the United Arab Emirates.

A luggage check saw officers find 26kg of cannabis - estimated to be worth £800,000 - more than can be fitted into a single suitcase.
