Investigation launched into £6m Norfolk home being raffled in Omaze prize draw
But the prospective owners of a £6m mansion on the Norfolk coast being raffled off in a prize draw by Omaze could potentially find themselves in a complex wrangle with the local authority.
The EDP can reveal that the property in Blakeney, called Larkfields, is under investigation by North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) over concerns that it breaches planning regulations.

Officials launched the probe earlier in the week after a member of the public pointed out that floor plans published by Omaze as part of its publicity campaign suggest it might have been built larger than the approved planning application.
If they find this is the case, it could lead to a lengthy planning wrangle which could ultimately end in the owners having to rebuild parts of the property.
However, the firm says it has done the necessary checks and is adamant the property has all the correct permissions.
It has also moved to reassure those taking part in the raffle that the eventual winner will face no additional costs as a result.

The impressive grand design - built to resemble mansions found in the exclusive Hamptons area of Long Island - is the top prize in a competition run by Omaze, a company which holds draws giving people the chance to win multi-million-pound homes.
Tickets to enter to win the Blakeney home - the second Norfolk property to be raffled off by the firm - are on sale until Sunday night and the winner will be revealed live on the BBC on Red Nose Day, next month.
