Leo Andrews was on his way to work when he was 't-boned' by a car at a junction and thrown from his bike.

His work supervisor was travelling past the scene moments later and recognised the mangled machine so stopped and went to look for him.

Mr Andrews, from Terrington St Clement, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, by air ambulance where he remains with serious injuries.

His father, Wayne Andrews, said: "Thank the stars [his work supervisor]........
