Christopher Nunn, 42, stole books from his employer, a printer in Beccles called CPI William Clowes, over an eight-year period.

He has appeared in court to admit the theft.

Nunn, who owns the Wine Vaults bar in Beccles, then had his licence stripped at an East Suffolk Council's licensing committee after police said he was using the venue to "launder" the proceeds of his crime.

Police had called for the licensing review to be held as they probed the circumstances around the theft.

That meeting heard details on how Nunn ended up being caught and prosecuted.
