But it is hard to level that charge against Connor Rouse, who is standing in a Norfolk by-election next month.

The 28-year-old Liberal Democrat has never shied away from baring all, as he demonstrated when he appeared on a Channel 4 dating show completely naked.

Mr Rouse, who is standing for North Norfolk District Council in his hometown of Holt, starred on the controversial series Naked Attraction in 2023.

The show involves one person selecting a partner from among potential suitors who reveal bits of their naked bodies, with their faces concealed.

Mr Rouse declined to discuss his appearance on the show. In a statement, he said: "Holt's my home town. It's a beautiful place to live, but that doesn't mean it can't be even better.

"As Holt's next councillor, I'll fight hard to ensure the new primary school gets built without delay.
