Gracia Panda, who launched GraCha in Rose Lane last weekend, wants to extend her opening hours to 8pm Thursday to Sunday to serve coffee and matcha into the evenings.  

Her shop serves hand-whisked matcha, a powdered green tea that originated in Japan in the 16th century, which has grown popular in the UK in recent years.

The 19-year-old says the city needs a "relaxed" cafe which is open past 5pm, particularly during the summer months.

She said: "There aren't many places in the city where you can get a coffee later in the evening.

"During summer, it gets darker a lot later and people stay in the city.
