Winners of the Pearson National Teaching Awards will be announced across the week on The One Show, which aired at 7pm on Thursday on BBC One.

The episode spotlighted Lee Smith, Hethersett Academy’s site manager, who is the Gold Winner of the Award for Unsung Hero in the 2025 awards - considered the ‘Oscars’ of the teaching profession.

The exclusive reveal was featured on BBC’s The One Show, ahead of a glamorous awards ceremony taking place at the weekend.
