Villagers' anger over 'dangerous' wall left crumbling for two years
Locals in East Harling have been waiting for Breckland Council to make repairs to the flint structure in School Lane since it collapsed in 2023.
But the scheme has been stalled while officials struggle to find an appropriate solution, with the rest of the wall teetering and toppling trees threatening to cause further damage.
An original solution put forward by the council, to replace the broken section with a metal fence, was met with more fury in the village, with some suggesting it would "destroy" the character of the area.
Those living in the street have urged the council to take action and fear that it is only a "matter of time" until the rest of the wall falls and seriously injures someone.

Neighbours say the wall first collapsed in the middle of the night in November 2023 and rubble has repeatedly spilled into the road in the years since.
It is believed the damage was caused by falling trees and roots........
