Paul Boschi has had his appeal dismissed by the planning inspectorate who ruled the designs for the grade II listed home were "out of scale with the rest of the property".

Mr Boschi, along with Sarah Cowley, wanted to create "more suitable living opportunities" by building a first-floor extension to their property in Town Close Road, which links Newmarket Road and Ipswich Road near the city centre.
