The Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership and Great Yarmouth Borough Council will launch the festive season on Friday, November 21, when the mayor, Councillor Carl Annison, switches on the town’s Christmas lights and tree illuminations in the Market Place.

The switch-on event will be hosted by Harbour Radio, with festive entertainment from 4pm, including performances by choirs, dance groups and live musicians.

The festivities will lead up to the big moment at 7pm, followed by a rooftop firework display lighting up the night sky.

Parking will be free after 4pm in most council-run town centre car parks.
