Prolific historian who wrote more than 30 books on Great Yarmouth dies
Over the course of 50 years, Colin Tooke gave hundreds of talks and amassed a unique collection of thousands of photographs of the town and surrounding villages.
His early years, living with his family in Caister, were shaped by the Second World War.
He was born on July 26, 1940, only weeks before the beginning of the Blitz, and his first memory was as a five-year-old watching people celebrate the end of the conflict.
