Patient's death triggers inspection at failing Norfolk care home

Elsenham House, on Station Road in Cromer, was rated “requires improvement” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) after an inspection triggered by a resident's death.

The service, which cares for more than 30 vulnerable people with mental health needs, has a history of problems, having received a series of substandard ratings in recent years.

The latest inspection, carried out in July, outlines concerns about how the home managed risks for people who refused care or treatment.
