Great Yarmouth Borough Council has confirmed it is continuing to work towards selling the freehold of the Ocean Room, on Pier Plain in Gorleston, to Bespoke Construction Group, a King's Lynn company named as preferred bidder last September.

However, heads of terms have yet to be agreed.

A council spokesperson said: "Like any complex property transaction, there are conditions to ensure the progress of any development or renovation is carried out in a timely way.
