The Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) in Great Yarmouth has said it is "with great sadness" that its branch secretary Tom Gilbert died at the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston on March 29.

He had been secretary of the RAFA for many years and oversaw its growth in the borough.

Among his responsibilities were co-ordinating the Battle of Britain service in the Minster each September and organising the association's participation........
