Warning over slavery on the High Street as police detect 200 possible cases
Norfolk police identified 211 incidents of potential modern slavery in the county between April last year and March this year, with exploitation of workers the most common form.

Cash-intensive High Street businesses, such as nail bars and barbers, are hotspots where exploitation and forced labour - including of people who have been trafficked from overseas - can potentially occur.
Norfolk County Council's People from Abroad Team, which gives support to refugees and asylum seekers, has seen such cases in the county.
There have been examples where people traffickers have paid for plane tickets for people from overseas to come to Norfolk, found them jobs in places such as car washes and then taken their weekly pay.
