The Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Swaffham is currently run by the denominational St John the Baptist Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.

But the school, in Sporle Road, has seen a fall in the number of Roman Catholic pupils at the school, which triggered a review into its future by the trust and the Diocese of East Anglia.

A deal had already been struck for the owners of the school - the Roman Catholic Daughters of Divine Charity - to sell it to Norfolk County Council.
