Council leader accuses critics of 'rage bait' to whip up Thickthorn roadworks anger
Kay Mason Billig, the Conservative leader at County Hall, made her comments after talks between Norfolk County Council and National Highways led to changes to work on the Thickthorn roundabout on the edge of Norwich.

She said: "I don't want anybody to be under the illusion that we weren't on top of this, because we have always been talking to National Highways about it.
"It's their scheme, but we do our best to ensure that roads in Norfolk function successfully.
"There's a new word - the word of the year is rage bait. It's about posting messages online, in order to enrage people and to get angry responses.
"There are several people who have been jumping on that bandwagon and it's not helpful.
"It really isn't helpful, because we are doing our best to, not only make sure our roads get the infrastructure improvements that we need, but also that we control the traffic as those infrastructure projects progress.
"There is going to be a little bit of disruption, but we do our best........
