Taking up their new roles from April 1 will be Abby Maynard in the agricultural business consultancy and David Hinton in the residential property team, both based in the firm's Norwich office, along with James Bailey in the land agency based in the St Neots/Cambridge office.

Managing partner Charles Whitaker said: “We have a strategy to grow our business and to appoint new partners along that journey.

“These three people have helped grow sectors within our business and have demonstrated  some, or all, the qualities and energy we require to progress to being offered a partnership at Brown&Co.

“This journey requires excellence and leadership within the particular sphere of professional work (recognised not just within Brown&Co but externally too), team leadership and growth, loyalty to our business, shared culture and values of the firm, consistently high levels of commercial performance, and, of course, the needs of our business too.

“All of them have delivered consistently for Brown&Co over many years and I am sure will continue to do so as we continue to grow and move our business forward."

The new appointments coincide with the retirement of two partners in April.

Peter Hornor, in the Norwich-based residential property team, and commercial partner Clive Thompson, based in Banbury, will continue as consultants within their respective departments.

Brown&Co opened new offices in Cambridge and Oxford last year, and now has 12 UK offices and three overseas.
