Revealed: FolkEast festival announces first acts at its new home

Suffolk FolkEast festival is moving from its long time home at Glemham Hall to Sotterley Hall estate near Beccles.

The 3,500-acre private estate owned by the Barne family and features extensive parkland around a Georgian house –with ancient woodland, a beautiful lake with Palladian folly and a 12th century church.

FolkEast festival will now be at Sotterley Hall estate (Image: FolkEast festival) It is a popular festival, founded and organised by husband and wife, Becky and John Marshall- Potter, and began in 2012 at Somerleyton Hall, close to Lowestoft.

Over the past 11 years it has taken place at Glemham Hall, near Woodbridge, but somewhere new had to be found as this estate was put up for sale last year.
