Let the region know how you are supporting a green future
The awards were formed to celebrate the efforts of local businesses and individuals that are striving for a greener future.
If you’re part of an organisation which is working to impact sustainability in its sector and the wider community, or you’ve taken part in a grass roots green community project, these awards are for you.
The entry deadline is midnight on Sunday, November 9. After that, the judging process will begin and the finalists will be selected.
The 11 varied categories aim to recognise sustainable efforts in all areas of our community, whether it’s a business striving to reduce its carbon footprint, a local group helping to protect the planet, an individual that stands out as a champion of all things sustainable, or an education provider inspiring the next generation to think green.
Among the categories is the Energy Innovation Award, sponsored by National Grid, which recognises innovations that significantly enhance energy efficiency or reduce energy consumption.
The category is open to any individual or organisation that can showcase an energy innovation that is both unique and groundbreaking.
The judges will be looking for entries that demonstrate measurable results in reducing environmental impact.
Scalability is also key and will show how entrants plan to maximise their impact.
They will also need to show how they have........
