This year's Future Workforce sponsor REAGIT is one of many organisations in the East helping to nurture a sustainable mindset in young people.

Based in Norwich, the training provider provides tailored solutions that enable businesses to thrive while empowering individuals at the start of their careers to achieve their goals, and is dedicated to building an engineering workforce that is innovative, resilient and environmentally conscious.

The company recognises the challenges businesses face in an evolving economic and environmental landscape and works closely with clients to develop adaptable teams equipped to succeed in the future of work.

Through these industry partnerships, REAGIT inspires young people to explore career pathways, gain confidence and build the relevant skills that will contribute to a sustainable future.

Particular emphasis is placed on supporting industries that are vital to the UK’s economic prosperity and environmental sustainability, ensuring that the workforce is ready to meet the demands of a cleaner, greener future.

As part of the Clean and Green Awards 2026, students from REAGIT’s scholarship programme helped to create the trophies that were presented to all winners.

“The REAGIT scholars worked alongside the REAGIT team, Slicsheet, Rhino Metalworkz and CIM Signs & Graphics to design and deliver the trophies for the Clean & Green Awards,” said Wayne Stannett, co-founder and operations director at REAGIT. “With most learning new skills in machining to make some of the key components.”

The bases of the trophies were made from repurposed 60-year-old iroko wood taken from banisters in the Laurence Scott building, where REAGIT is based, during renovation works.

The tops and accents were crafted from offcuts of stainless steel from Norwich metal fabricator Slicsheet.

The scholars were also invited to attend the Clean and Green Awards ceremony on March 26 at Kesgrave Hall, Suffolk.

Decked out in new suits provided by Slaters Menswear, they were able to meet and build connections with businesses at the forefront of sustainability in the East of England, alongside learning about their award-winning projects.

“REAGIT is proud to have sponsored the Future Workforce category for the Clean and Green Awards and we hope to see this category grow across all of the LOCALiQ events of the future,” said Wayne. “Support for new talent coming into the industry is imperative if we are going to fix the skills gap.”
