Sustainable non-profit company wins Project of the Year award

Based in Witchford, Cambridgeshire, Re-Imagine aims to promote sustainability, creativity and imagination through events, education programmes, material re-allocation and community partnerships.

Founded in 2013, its goal is to inspire innovative ideas on how to divert materials from the waste stream and transform them into resources to help the local community.

Re-Imagine has been located on the same site for 12 years, collecting waste materials that businesses normally throw away and putting them to creative use.

The centre includes a successful community kitchen and solidarity larder, which support many families in Ely and the surrounding villages with fresh, healthy surplus food collected from supermarkets and through FareShare.

Re-Imagine recently opened a social supermarket that has been very well received by the community and provided much needed relief to families during the cost-of-living crisis.
