RWE – the German firm behind the Vanguard East, Vanguard West and Boreas wind farms in the North Sea – launched its Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone Community Fund to support towns and villages located close to the onshore infrastructure for the projects.

The company has worked with Norfolk Community Foundation to distribute the first round of funding as part of a 'discovery phase'.

This initial round will help RWE and Norfolk Community Foundation build an understanding of the needs of local communities – enabling them to refine the fund going forward.
