Energy firms and unions send warning letter to all Labour MPs
The letter, signed by North Sea energy industry executives, trade unionists and various trade bodies, was sent to all 403 Labour MPs, emphasising the need to back homegrown energy resources over imports.
The group argues this support is crucial for UK manufacturing, industry and the skilled workforce, warning that current decisions will determine the UK's economic trajectory in the coming decades.
The letter was presented in Westminster to a group of Labour MPs by industrial workers in PPE and hard hats, along with apprentices from across the country.
The presentation followed an all-industry summit and discussion, including talks from the GMB union and the Chemical Industries Association.
