Foxley Wood Barn was originally part of the Gurney estate and dates to around 1970.

The four-bedroom property is adjacent to Foxley Wood, Norfolk’s largest ancient woodland, and sits in 4.4 acres with an annexe and other outbuildings.

“Built for threshing, the barn retains its original threshing floor and robust oak beams, with English and Dutch bond brickwork,” said selling agent Fine & Country.

“Lantern niches and portals for Victorian machinery have been thoughtfully preserved and adapted, while the building’s history as a cattle shelter is still evident in the panelling within the interior, which was placed there to cover up marks made by the hooves of the resident cattle.”

The current owners added: “Later, an additional opening was made to house a combine harvester and thus the barn is unusual in having three large openings.
