Construction begins on North Star SOV for European wind farm
North Star and its shipbuilding partner, Cochin Shipyard Ltd, cut first steel on the new hybrid-electric SOV for German energy firm EnBW on Tuesday, February 25.
The milestone was marked with a ceremony at Cochin Shipyard in India, where the planning, engineering design and construction work are being carried out.
It was attended by James Bradford, chief technology officer for North Star, which has bases in Lowestoft, Aberdeen, Newcastle and Hamburg.
