Stop and search of weapon-wielding kids cannot be ruled out after Kayden Moy's death
Kayden Moy had his whole life ahead of him.
The 17-year-old had travelled for a day out at Irvine beach from East Kilbride. But what should have been a fun afternoon turned into an appalling tragedy that left Kayden dead and his family utterly devastated.
The popular schoolboy was stabbed following what police described as a large-scale disturbance on the beach.
The violent scenes came on one of the hottest days of the year.
Similar violence was also witnessed at Portobello beach in Edinburgh, which left another teenager stabbed. Thankfully, they are expected to recover.
Kayden was not so lucky.
