Doubts remain over Cambridgeshire communities to get £20m boost

Cambridgeshire Live readers have responded to proposals for a financial injection into parts of Cambridgeshire. Many remain doubtful about what the funding will achieve, and who will gain from it.

Two Cambridgeshire communities are poised to receive up to £20million of government funding. Orton Malborne and Goldhay, and Paston, both in Peterborough, have been chosen for the Pride in Place financial boost.

Labour has revealed up to £5bn of investment for 339 "overlooked" communities across the UK to spend on enhancing high streets, parks and public spaces. This encompasses 169 neighbourhoods - or Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs) to use the official terminology - that will receive £2million a year for........
