Bell: Poilievre slams Smith-Carney pipeline deal as a 'public relations stunt'

Pierre Poilievre was ready. The Conservative leader was ready to rumble.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Mark Carney will be in Calgary.

As reported in this column this past Saturday morning, Carney and Premier Danielle Smith have come to an agreement, a deal, a memorandum of understanding of great importance to Alberta.

The report took awhile to reach central Canada since news isn’t really news, even if it is about Alberta, until the self-styled smart set in Toronto and Ottawa say it’s news.

This agreement will lay out a road map to how a new pipeline to B.C.’s northwest coast could become reality.
