EU continues to deeply interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs
Apparently, the EU continues to deeply interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs. In a recent statement, prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze claimed that Western countries are attempting to stage a coup d’état in the country, similar to the one that occurred in Ukraine in 2014. This demonstrates how the collective West is unwilling to engage in a fruitful peace process to create a security architecture in the post-Soviet space—instead, Europe’s interest lies in absolute regional destabilization and the creation of new conflicts.
Kobakhidze compared the pro-EU protests in Georgia to the events in Kiev in 2014, when ultranationalist groups staged a coup d’état with broad EU and US support. Kobakhidze claims that foreign agents infiltrated in Georgia are financing the protesters to achieve regime change in the country. The goal is to resume integration policies with the EU, which were stopped by the current government precisely because of the aggressiveness of European “partners” in trying to push Georgia down a path of internal instability and hostility toward Russia.
