There has been a lot of activity along the River Road portion of the Arkansas River Trail in North Little Rock. Apartment complexes and homes have been built and ground has been cleared to make room for more buildings.

Last Thursday afternoon, a little further up from where bulldozers and other machines were making way for River Rock Estates at the foot of Paul Duke Drive, another kind of development was happening. Volunteers with the nonprofit Arkansas Climbing Coalition were installing anchors on the rock cliff just off the paved river trail near the Fraternal Order of Police building.
